Decorating your baby shower around a theme
You have decided on the kind of theme you wish to have for the baby shower! This is a great start! The next step is to utilize the theme you have chosen as the focus for decorating!
It is not nearly as difficult as it may seem; in fact, decorating for a baby shower can be great fun!
When you are planning to decorate around a theme, the main point is to keep the theme itself as the primary focus. You can do this by either or two methods. First, you can extend the theme into your decorations; or, if you prefer, you can simply extend the color-scheme into the rest of the decorating.
If you want to use the entire theme, it is rather simple to incorporate it into your decorating. For example, if the theme is about animals, these animals can be the basis of your party decorations. Stuffed animals, gleeful mobiles, and baby furniture which corresponds with the theme, can provide an exciting atmosphere for the baby shower! You can even have the baby shower cake specially ordered in the form of a teddy bear, giraffe, or some other type of circus or zoo animal; and similarly-shaped cut-out cookies will be an interesting treat!
Whether your baby shower theme is one of cartoon figures, rainbows, For Boy or For Girl, or any other type of theme, all of these will work equally well in extending the theme to the room’s decorations.
Extending the theme’s color-scheme into your decorating will also produce lovely results! To decorate this way, all you need to do is select the most outstanding colors and use them liberally throughout all of your decorating. While this works great for any kind of theme, one that is designed especially for a newborn boy or a newborn girl is often the most attractive. What better way to welcome the new little boy into the world than with a baby shower decorated in blue– everything from crepe streamers to tinted icing on the cake! A room filled with pink delights would make the most grand celebration of a little girl’s arrival as well! Whether you choose bright, happy colors, or sweet, muted pastels, it will be a party-site that everyone will long remember!
When decorating around a baby shower theme, there are two very important points to keep in mind. First, it does not need to be extravagent. While there are many types of decorations which you can actually make by yourself, even the decorations you may wish to purchase are not expensive at all. Second, you do not need to be particularly artistic in order to make a smashing success of party decorating– your own eye and taste will lead you to producing very pleasing results!
